How to Use the Cold Plunge Rental Cost Calculator
Getting an answer takes six quick steps. The tool prices a rental the way rental companies build a quote.
- Enter the rental days, counting every day you keep the tub.
- Enter the daily rental rate per tub. For a weekly package, divide the package price by 7.
- Enter the number of tubs, leaving it at 1 for a home rental.
- Enter the delivery and setup fee, or 0 if you collect the tub yourself.
- Enter any add-ons as one flat amount, and the refundable deposit if the company asks for one.
- Press Calculate, or press Enter. The total appears first, with the rental cost, delivery, cost per day and upfront amount below. Press Reset to start over.

The Cold Plunge Rental Cost Formula
One formula prices every rental, from a single weekend tub to a multi-tub event setup. Each part matches a line on a real rental quote.
Total rental cost = (Daily rate × Rental days × Number of tubs) + Delivery and setup + Add-ons. The daily rate is the price per tub per day. Delivery and setup is the flat fee for bringing the tub, setting it up and collecting it again, and add-ons cover flat extras such as a chiller upgrade or extra ice.
The refundable deposit is not part of the total. It is money you pay upfront and get back after the rental if the tub comes back undamaged. Upfront due = Total rental cost + Refundable deposit. Cost per day = Total rental cost ÷ Rental days, which is the fair way to compare a weekend package against a weekly one.

Worked Example: A One-Week Rental
You rent one tub for 7 days at $43 a day, with a $100 delivery and setup fee, a $50 chiller add-on and a $200 refundable deposit.
- Rental cost = $43.00 × 7 days × 1 tub = $301.00.
- Add delivery and setup: $301.00 + $100.00 = $401.00.
- Add the add-ons: $401.00 + $50.00 = $451.00.
- Cost per day = $451.00 ÷ 7 days = $64.43.
- Upfront due = $451.00 + $200.00 deposit = $651.00, and the $200.00 comes back after the rental.
As a check, the PlungeTX weekend package in Houston is $175 for a Friday to Monday rental plus a $100 delivery fee, and the calculator gives $175.00 + $100.00 = $275.00, which matches exactly. Their 7-day package is $300, and at a $43 daily rate the calculator gives $301.00, which is $1 more because $300 divided by 7 is $42.86 a day.
What Cold Plunge Rentals Cost in 2026
Published rental prices cluster in a narrow band. A weekend tub is the cheapest way to try cold plunging, while a week is the better value per day.
| Rental | Price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Weekend, 4 days, chiller tub | $175 | PlungeTX, Houston |
| Week, 7 days, chiller tub | $300 | PlungeTX, Houston |
| Delivery, setup and pickup | $100 flat | PlungeTX, Houston |
| Cold plunge added to a sauna rental | $30 to $150 | BookAShvitz, October 2026 |
Our worked example at $451 sits above the $300 PlungeTX weekly package because it adds the $100 delivery fee and a $50 chiller add-on. With free pickup and no add-ons, the same 7 days at $43 a day costs $301, within $1 of the published weekly price. Stand-alone event setups are usually quoted per event, so use the calculator with the quoted daily rate.
Chiller or Ice: What Changes the Price
Every rental tub is either chilled or filled with ice, and the chiller costs more. BookAShvitz lists one vendor at $100 with ice and $150 with a chiller, so the chiller adds $50, the default add-on in this calculator. A chilled tub holds a set temperature all day, usually 37 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, while an ice tub warms up.
For a short rental, ice is cheaper, because the tub only needs to stay cold for a day or two. For a week or longer, the chiller usually wins, because it needs no ice runs or topping up. A chiller tub also needs a standard outdoor power outlet, while an ice tub needs none.
Length is the other big lever. The PlungeTX weekly package works out to about $43 a day and the weekend package to about $44 a day. The real saving is delivery, because the $100 fee spreads over more days. A 4-day rental at $175 plus $100 delivery costs $68.75 a day, while a 7-day rental at $300 plus $100 delivery costs $57.14 a day.
Common Rental Cost Mistakes
Counting the deposit as part of the cost is the most common mistake. A $200 deposit is not $200 spent, because it comes back after the rental, so adding it to the total makes every rental look $200 more expensive than it is.
Forgetting delivery is the second mistake. A $175 weekend package is really $275 once the $100 delivery fee is added, and free pickup is only free if you can collect the tub yourself. Ask whether each quote includes delivery, setup and pickup before you compare two companies.
Finally, plan the rental inside your wider budget. A plunge party has costs beyond the tub, such as towels, food and cleanup, so check the total with our budget calculator before you book. If the party leaves a mess behind, get a cleanup price from our dumpster rental cost calculator, and check any discount on the quote with our percentage calculator.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent a cold plunge?
A weekend chiller tub rental costs $175 and a 7-day rental costs $300 with PlungeTX in Houston, plus a $100 delivery, setup and pickup fee. Added to a sauna rental, a cold plunge costs $30 to $150. Stand-alone event setups are usually quoted per event.
How is a cold plunge rental total worked out?
Total rental cost equals the daily rate times the rental days times the number of tubs, plus the delivery and setup fee, plus any add-ons. For example, 7 days at $43 a day with a $100 delivery fee and a $50 add-on totals $451.
Is the deposit part of the rental cost?
No. The deposit is refundable, so it is kept out of the total and shown only in the upfront amount. Upfront due equals the total rental cost plus the deposit, and the deposit comes back after the rental if the tub comes back undamaged.
What does delivery usually include?
Delivery usually covers bringing the tub, setting it up and collecting it again. PlungeTX charges a flat $100 for delivery, setup and pickup in its local area, and free pickup is available in Pearland if you collect the tub yourself.
Does a chiller tub cost more to rent than an ice tub?
Yes. BookAShvitz lists one vendor at $100 with ice and $150 with a chiller, so the chiller adds $50. A chilled tub holds a set temperature all day, while an ice tub warms up and needs topping up with ice.
How many days should I rent a cold plunge for?
Rent for a weekend if you want to try it or host one backyard session, and rent for a week if you want several sessions, because the delivery fee spreads over more days. A 4-day rental at $175 plus $100 delivery costs $68.75 a day, while a 7-day rental at $300 plus $100 delivery costs $57.14 a day.
